Weddings are looking very different at the moment, thanks to all the sudden changes in the world. All of these changes are for our own safety, which has to be praised, but the new way to celebrate can feel strange to navigate.

Just because your wedding day may not look how you envisaged, doesn’t mean YOU shouldn’t! Get the dream dress, match the bridesmaids to the groomsmen, have special customisations to the bridesmaids shoes, and dress the tables in your favourite colours! There’s no reason not to create the look you had in your head.

Collate all Your Guest’s Photos
Long gone are the days when people would dump an entire album of photos on Facebook after any event or night out. It can often seem like photos of events are totally lost within your friend’s phones, with no chance of viewing them ever again. That’s why it’s a great idea to use a wedding photo sharing app. You can invite your loved ones to upload the photos they take of your big day, giving everyone the chance to relive the memories before the official photos come back from the wedding photographer. It’s also an amazing way to let those from away who couldn’t make it see the day. With travel restrictions in place, family members overseas may not be allowed to make the journey.
Have Official Photos Outside
With guests being required to wear face coverings indoors (unless they are exempt) it might be harder to get some good pictures of your friends and family. If you don’t want to be left trying to figure out if it’s you’re auntie Margaret or your mum’s cousin, Clive in the photos, you might want to take everyone outdoors.
There’s a work around for everything, and it might be possible to host the reception outdoors too, so that most of the photos can be taken without faces being covered. While the coverings are designed to be an extra layer of protection, they do tend to make the photos look a little less natural.
Make Your Own Wedding Rings
Your pre-wedding preparations might not be what you had imagined and your honeymoon may be put on hold, but there are plenty of things you can do to add to the celebrations. A couples getaway a few weeks before the wedding might be just what you need to help build up the excitement for the big day. Consider a mini break in an area that allows you to make your own wedding rings. Lots of these places allow you to choose the metals to make your ring from, although most people go for gold as it is quite traditional.
